Associate in arts

Interested in transferring to a four-year institution to complete a bachelor's degree? Sandburg's associate in arts degree is perfect for you. Individual learning is our No. 1 priority, which is why we offer student-centered classes, and programs that provide the academic skills needed for successful transfer to other institutions.

You'll work with an assigned academic advisor to determine the degree path and establish courses needed for your transfer. 

Sample plan

You'll work with your assigned academic advisor to schedule classes each semester, and you can use our Student Planner software, along with the assistance from your advisor, to develop individual plans to complete your degree.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Thanks to our generous donors, the Carl Sandburg College Foundation is able to award more than $100,000 each year in scholarship dollars to Sandburg students. High school, adult learners and returning students are eligible to apply between October 1 and March 15 for the upcoming year. We encourage all students to apply. 

Class formats

Sandburg offers courses in a variety of formats to best fit your needs. Check out the formats for specific courses.

Regardless of the course format, you need access to a reliable computer with broadband (high-speed) internet. All courses use online resources and require you to access course information through mySandburg. Accessing courses through a phone is discouraged. Both campuses have open computer labs for student use.
